Black Diamond Tinting was started by Derek Hansen in 2001 because he wanted to provide a reputable company for your tinting needs that always puts the customer first. Derek has built this business from the ground up and has always had a focus on building relationships with his clients and being a big part of the community.
We offer durable car tinting services to vehicles used for commercial and personal purposes. Rest easy knowing you’re always getting superb installations for your ride, ensuring passenger safety and privacy at all times.

Derek Hansen
Owner
Derek Hansen started Black Diamond Tinting in 2001 and has build the company from the ground up. He enjoys building relationships with his clients, while earning their business. Derek prides himself on providing the highest quality services, with great attention to detail, where trust means everything.
- Derek lives in the Twin Cities and has a 17 year old daughter and a 13 year old son and enjoys spending time with his family. His daughter can occasionally be seen helping out at the shop.
- His favorite sport is hockey!
- Derek has always been involved with cars and considers himself a car fanatic.
- He enjoys traveling, especially up north, bonfires, and music!
Ben
Lead technician
Ben has been with Black Diamond Tinting for a little over five years and is also a perfectionist! He prides himself on making the customer happy with every product he installs. He also lives, eats, and breaths automotive and power sports. We're talking 4-Wheelers, side by side, dirt bikes and motorcycles.

Ethan
Window Tinter
Ethan is our Window Tinter and has been with Black Diamond Tinting just under a year. He's grateful to work at the company and thinks Derek has been not only a great mentor, but the best boss anyone could have. Ethan is quickly becoming a phenomial window tinter in a very short period of time.
Fun Facts About Ethan:
- Ethan loves hockey and played throughout high school.
- He loves to snowboard and his favorite place to go in Trollhaugen.
- Ethan's favorite car is a Corvette C7 with tinted windows!
