What is the legal tint limit in Minnesota?

Minnesota law requires at least 50 % visible‑light transmission (VLT) on all windows of passenger cars and on the front‑door windows of SUVs and trucks. Rear windows on SUVs and trucks may be any darkness.

The percentage is the amount of light the film lets into the vehicle. A 50 % film allows half the light through; a 5 % “limo tint” is very dark, admitting only five percent.
  • Standard film: Provides privacy and blocks UV rays but offers minimal heat rejection.
  • Ceramic film: Two options that block ~70 % or ~90 % of solar heat, helping your A/C run more efficiently while still delivering privacy and UV protection.
Pricing depends on your vehicle, the number of windows, and the film you choose. Call us or request a quote on our website for an exact estimate.
Wait 3–5 days to let the film cure fully before lowering the windows.
Yes. Even our lightest shades—including virtually clear “air series” films—significantly reduce heat and block nearly 100 % of harmful UV rays.
